We came across this rental place after eating breakfast nearby and looking for a fun way to kill a couple of hours. The rental was $35 for a full 24 hours, which I thought was pretty reasonable. The guy who helped us, I believe he was the owner, was really informative and even gave us a map and pointed out his favorite route and circled his favorite stops and insider tips. A full tutorial is provided before you head out, and it was pretty straightforward. It was a lot of information, but he made sure to point out common errors or things that riders should/shouldn't do. Everything is handled very professionally here. I'd definitely recommend renting here because they're on the north end of South Kihei Road, making it easy to exit onto the main road and go all the way south to Makena/Wailea.

We rented mopeds for a long weekend and can't say enough nice things about Hawaiian Cruisers. Communication was great while booking, the mopeds were great quality, and the customer service was wonderful. As new riders, they made sure to tell us everything we needed to know to be safe and gave us great lessons on how to operate and drive the mopeds. They also allow you to take their mopeds on the road to Hana (a highlight of our trip) which most of their competitors don't allow. They gave us great info on where to go with a detailed map and their prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be renting again from Hawaiian Cruisers on our next trip to Maui and would absolutely recommend them to everyone. Mahalo!
